There are times when working with clay is so very simple and so very good for the soul.  And when I make a batch of the little alphabet tiles they really do seem very small and simple, but somehow they are very engaging and satisfying.  A nice thing to make and hold inbetween new designs.  Reassuring. They make me smile.
